Newark is in New Jersey, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. Getting around Newark is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across New Jersey's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

Love this park. Especially the green patch in the back, itβs the only and last true green spot with true grass left in the area. After they completely changed and ruined independence park, this is the only place left for people to have nice picnics or play with their kids and pets. I always encounter people enjoying that little grassy patch.

Great and safe place for kids to play. They have fun pirate ship setup which amuses kids. So happy that I explored this place.

Has a work out section along the river , also has a soccer field and playground. There is a small parking area for anyone going. Good view of Harrison side with a lot of history. One of the factories there help put together the Statue of Liberty π―
